| How do you think the PSP compares to other handheld consoles you've played? I think the graphics are superb, but my one complaint is that it seems so fragile. I'm terrified of scratching or dropping the thing. I've never worried about that with my gameboys or my DS. Okay, maybe I worry a little about scratching the DS, but I almost want to strap pillows to my PSP, LOL. |

Pros PSP:
I like the analog stick, wide screen gaming, and movies and the unbelieveable amount of accessories made for it.
Cons PSP
The games are usually ported to it instead of tailor made(they are begining to break away from this) load times for the UMDs can be annoying. batterylife sux for the most part.
Pros DS:
I like it for the specific nintendo made games, the fact that it plays GBA games, and simply for the fact I grew up on nintendo.
Cons DS:
The screen is to small an to dim, and it has no analog. I am going to buy a DS Lite though and even that sega one if that in fact is real. |

I think it's hard to beat Nintendo as for "items that cannot be destroyed." The gameboy has tales upon tales of misuse and general damage that still didn't kill the machine |

| Yeah, I had a gameboy quite some time ago and it really DID withstand a lot. Maybe I just treasure my PSP a little more...but mine has had a few knocks and is fine. |

The touchscreen on the DS is testament to this. Just go to any Wal-Mart, EBX, or GameStop and wipe off all the smudges from the nasty dirty touchscreen on the demo unit and look for scratches. It still amazes me how scratch-resistant the DS touchscreen is! |

I love the fact it fits just right in my hands. Less hand cramps vs. GBA. The screen resolution is great vs. GBA. No more magnifying glass and worm lights to see the screen on the PSP. I just love the whole thing abot PSP.
I worry about dropping my PSP as well. I have dropped mine a few times. But no major damage. But had to make restitution and give all praises to the PSP Gods. By chantting 10 PSP's 5 times a day for 3 days straight. |

| the DS is great as has been said for durability, that alone with a fumbling 10 year old is quite a plus. However the PSP has taken a bit of a beating too. There's more games I've found we enjoy for PSP rather than DS so, that alone makes it better in my book. |

| Yes, and this does also add to the DS appeal; backward compatibility is always a good action to take. You know that if there isn't enough game interesting you on the DS, you can always pick from the GBA library. |

Overall it is the best handheld I have ever had. One of my favorites was the sega genesis mini one I had where I could play the games from my sega.
However, I agree with Onyxx, the lack of true PSP only titles makes it less than it could be. Too many people are taking shortcuts and not taking full advantage of the PSP.
Only a matter of time I think. |

| I have a DS - and I like the PSP a lot more. Though the DS plays a little better and the gameplay is much more unique, the PSP just has better graphics, and a better "feel". The DS is very clunky to hold, and it is very difficult to play games which require two hands + the stylus... (metroid prime: hunters anyone?) |
