if you update it you cant play homebrew like the SNES emulator. |

there are many emulators for the PSP even a N64 and Genesis one. but in order for them to work you need a certain version# FW.
2.70, 2.71 FW sorry no support here, sony already patched the exploits.
2.00, 2.01, 2.50, 2.60 FW have partial emulator support through a game save exploit that Fanjita found and made a loader called the eboot loader. It requires you to have a UMD game of GTA:LCS.
1.50 or 1.00 FW psp have full homebrew an emulator support and can play ISO games
1.51, 1.52 FW can me upgraded to 2.00. 2.00 PSPs can be downgraded to 1.00 then upgraded to 1.50 to allow full support. there are 2 different downgraders though for different version # PSP's.
THERE ARE NO DOWNGRADERS FOR FW VERSIONS 2.01, 2.50, 2.60, 2.70, 2.71. DONT EVEN ASK BECAUSE SONY MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO WRITE TO THE PSP'S FLASH BIOS WHEN THEY PATCHED THE FIX WITH FW 2.01 |

Man i upgraded my psp to like 2.7 and now i cant downgrade it because the already found this hacking this sucks  well theres nutin to do about it damn |

I play it almost every day... maybe miss a couple days here and there... but I know if i get the ps3, which I hope to get soon (in time for metal gear 4!!) my PSP will probably turn into a dust collector  |
