I just got accepted into the new "gmail for your domain" beta test. It's really awesome. I have a few domains, but only got it set up for my primary one. It gives me the gmail system for my own email addresses through my own domain. It even gives me pop access. Really a handy tool for webmasters, so if there are any here (aside from the gnomes, of course), keep an eye out for this google service when it goes public. |

| Nice find! Would anyone here be interested in their very own @pspgarden.com address via Gmail? If so, I'll sign us up for the beta. |

I think it would be a neat idea. There's a fairly large userbase here.
It's just like gmail 2gb inboxes and all. And you can use your account on google talk, too. Definitely a really neat service.
Took them about two months to get back to me for the beta, though. Here's the signup link.

This is a very bizarre thing to launch...Normally google gives everything free, but in the end they do have little ads, or anything small that in great quantity would end up being beneficient for them...but I just don't see what they are targeting with this new campaign |

I was discussing it with a friend and we figured it out - while a site like this might not benefit too much from custom domain gmail addresses, a small company of 10-100 people sure would. No more email server to worry about, and email addresses that point to their domain. There are ISP's who charge quite a bit for this type of service - they should probably start to sweat a little if Google is planning to give this service away for free. |

| Especially since gmail's interface is REALLY nice. The amount of things that gmail does and how smoothly it works and how effective its spam filtering is, you get all that on your domain. That's really what attracted me to it. That, and now I can just log on to google talk with my normal email address and communicate with any other google talk users. |

Interesting, well I won't say 'no' to free stuff coming from Google. It's really nice to see them release 101 services at the same time, keep'em coming |

| Interesting! I'll look into it as most of my experiences with Google have been good. Man, those guys just don't stop coming up with stuff, do they? |

Wow. That is absolutely awesome. I would love to use something like that.
My current webmail for my domains is not up to snuff. How did you get into beta for that? |
