I have long been a fan of my iPod. I go back to the second generation of iPods. Recently I was pondering an upgrade to the iPod I have (as the buttons don't always like to work anymore and the scroll wheel is perhaps becoming better thought of as the jump wheel) ... and I was looking into the new ones.
Well one of the reasons I have so love my iPod has been the Belkin accessory called the iTrip which allows me to play music in my car. I spend far too much time on the highway and this accessory has changed my driving life for certain.
Here's the rub: my iTrip will not work with the new generation of iPods and so I am forced to buy another adapter if I upgrade my pod.
Here's the question: I am considering the adapter by Griffin for the PSP that does the same thing. If I get this maybe I can avoid another 400 dollar purchase and have some funds left over for other upgrades to my PSP (and maybe game or 3) as well. Anyone have a take on this? Ever used it? |

The only issue you need to decide on is if you can live with the limited room to store music on the PSP with a 2 or 4gb ms you can hold a good bit but no where near what a ipod can hold. To me I would choose the PSP cheaper an you would have it available to play games an movies. but as you said...

you spend a lot of time on the highway an a huge selection of music is probably a benefit when your driven an can afford to switch out MS or UMDs. |

You know, you can play the PSP while you drive as well. Just learn to drive with your knees. RPG's tend to work a lot better than first person shooters, fyi.

Which incidentally reminds me of a Bus Driver that was fired from his job due to him playing GTA on his PSP, at stops as well as while driving
Somehow I wouldn't want to hear a bus driver say "I just ran over someone, take that!" |

LOL - ok I did it - I bit the 400 dollar bullet and bought my PSP but decided that I will still get my iPod - took my son to Best Buy and could no longer resist the call. Got the bundle package and then got GTA and Katameri. We have a 30 dollar gift card so I am looking for suggestions on accessories. |
