| Do you use FAQ's or cheat codes when you game? I try my best to play through entirely on my own, but it's rare when I don't peek at an FAQ at least once during the course of a game. |

| I only use a FAQ when I get extremely fustrated on a boss or level. I rarely use cheat codes and if I do is after I already beat a game. |

| I always play everything on my own, I guess I just don't see the fun in getting hints. I like to say "yeah, I beat/solved that on my own!" |

Like the other people above, I'd rather finish the games without any FAQS, then afterward, be able to have the whole feeling of accomplishment.
However, I will use cheats, if deemed fun on a second playthrough. |

I try to win the game first, and then on a second run I will use walkthroughs/faqs/cheats just to see what I might have missed. If at first I'm really stumped I'll turn to a guide as well, but really try not to.

| As I tend to get bored with games very very quickly I will at some point look up a walkthrough online or something like that or ask fellow players for tips |

| Only time I used a FAQ was towards the end of Silent Hill 2. The game had me so freaked out I just wanted to finish it as quickly as possible! |

| I use them if I've finished the game, or got bored of it. If they make me want to go back to it, then it's a good thing. Also sometimes cheats like invincibility mean you don't have to reload every time you die, and stuff. |

I'll only use cheats if I've become bored of a game or it's not fun without them. The Sims was a great game for PC when it game out, and starting from the ground up with no money was great for a while, but you could never ever build the houses you wanted or furnish your mansion properly. The Rosebud cheat became nessisary for the amount of money you could rake in. And typing in all the !;!;!;!:!;!;!;!;!;!; got sorta fun, trying to type it as fast as you could.........
......God I need a system. lol |

I have to admit I've gone to the cheats to get past levels in games such as Grand Theft Auto... I just got so frustrated not being able to get past certain levels so I reached for the cheats... |

Some of the most fun I had playing GTA on PS2 was in cheat mode. Nothing like having everyone chasing you wearing swimsuits, while every car is pink and any vehicle you climb into can fly. |
