Canada Ontario here. Downtown Hamilton's not so bad, if you don't mind a hooker for every corner and a handful of homeless per block. Or the loud drunk singing outside your window at 4:00am every night, or having at least minimum 3 police cars on your street sometime every day. Or guessing which houses are crack dens. Or for some reason a legal pot shop just down the road...which I still don't understand. Or having your new neighbors evicted every other month. Or having trains shake your house until the sun rises. Or being asked for spare change "just so they can catch the next bus" by the same person at different times of day. Or having everyone who talks to you in the street assume you have cigarettes stuffed in your pockets, ready to hand out. Or finding new and interesting combinations of degraded rotting trash pressed into the sidewalks. Or counting the number of broken or boarded up windows while you walk. Or trying to figure out which of the loud ranting people with shredded clothes, stumbling down the middle of the road, are mentally ill, or drunk. Or going out and never seeing a single person smile all day. Or seeing who they're arresting today. Or having tall creepy people with dark baggy clothes and interesting walks follow you for a few blocks before you duck into a random store and pretend to buy things.

I donno. Maybe it's just this part of downtown that blows...

American living in Scotland here ....gaming is super important in winter when there's only about four-five hours of daylight!

Since majority of people on this thread are from up north, northeast or from across the pond I thought to give up a big hello. Where every season is the best and an hour from the beach, Disneyland, or the mountains(downtown is 10 minutes away)
