| Does anyone have troubleshooting tips for playing mp4 video on the psp? I downloaded the root hub file from sony's official psp website. I also renamed my video file M4V00000.mp4 because I was told the psp is particular about how files are named. However, I still can't get my mp4 to play or even transfer to the psp. Yet, the video that sony gave me as a sample when I downloaded the root hub plays just fine on my psp. |

you need to make sure you have it in the 100MNV01 folder:
X:
+ MP_ROOT
- 100ANV01
- 100MNV01
--M4V00000.mp4
+ PSP
- GAME
- MUSIC
- PHOTO
- SAVEDATA |

| hey i think i got it. i had to use psp video express to convert the file. but i'm still a little confused because i thought if the mp4 was properly named, in mp4 format, and transferred to the correct folder in the psp that you could manually transfer the mp4s for my computer directly to the psp. i guess i'll just use the converter. |

But it seems so complicated to transfer video to PSP, you can download free software from
http://www.aimersoft.com/psp-video-manager.html
Which is called PSP Video Manager, it can help you to add video to PSP or export PSP MPEG4 videos located in your PSP to your computer directly, you don't need to manually rename PSP MPEG4 files |
